The ASAP debacle was the tip of the iceberg, it turns out Roberto had a problem with a Customer Service rep for ASAP and thats where the attacking began. The was a lawsuit between someone at ASAP and Roberto in Curacao. A watchdog site cannot let personal feeling get in the way of truthful reporting. ASAP paid everyone in a timely manner, they made some mistakes on the administative side of the buisness and they had enormus expenses, they made money on paper week after week but the bills were too high for such a small office. ASAP had contacted CRIS about taking over the buisness long before any watchdog caught wind of it. Roberto puts downgrades and slow pays on his site due to his personal problem with an employee there, THAT IS NOT A WATCHDOG, THATS A BLACKMAILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets forget about ASAP for now and look at Roberto's history in the Sportsbook Industry. 3 yrs ago Roberto couldnt tell the difference between a Sportsbook and a Non-Fiction book, a Football from a Meatball, but somehow he is an industry insider??? How does that happen????? It seems Roberto was hired at Royal Sports to fire some key people, some original minority partners and it seems he did a good job, fire some people and move on. Well it turns out Robeto made a few enemies with his house cleaning at Royal and he has since gone on to attack any book or person that came from the old Royal Sports.

BetPanam comes along and they have trouble paying people, things go south very quickly and here is Roberto's window of opportunity, he goes on a crusade for the stiffed bettors, he looks noble on the outside, he is flying to Panama, doing research and doing everything he can to help these people. Well its 9 months since Panam went belly up and nobody has been paid, the people who will be paid are those that have value to another Sportsbook, people will be paid if the Book knows they can beat them in the long run, not because of anything Roberto has done or will do in the Future. This crusade againsts Panam has helped launch his own Watchdog Site, TOW, where he can make money from Sportsbooks advertising on his site, a Nobody becomes and Industry Insider overnight. Guys like Major and Shrink put there time in and took years to build there sites from scratch, while the Industry was still small, they put thier time in and do thier due dilligence, yes they make mistakes in supporting books but they get better everyday due to thier experiences over 15+ yrs in the buisness as not only website owners but as players themselves!!!!

Roberto is in Costa Rica supposedly in CRIS offices and he is getting the wrong Info, The Major and Shrink from the comfort of thier own homes in USA and Canada had the right info about ASAP. 95% of the Sportsbook owners have no clue who Roberto is and he gets shuffled off to speak to clerks who have no idea whats going on and he places that on his site as insider info, LMAO. Everyone knows who the Shrink and The Major are, nobody knows Roberto, he has used this Panam Debacle to get close to Shrink, Major, Sting, Peep, etc.... to steal idea and launch his own site. I hope everyone sees this and doesnt get mislead by him

In closing, I have nothing againsts Roberto and one day I hope he has a successful website that speaks the truth, not one that attacks people he doesnt like personally. Put your time in and do it right and one day people may look at your site the same way they look at theRx and Majorwager, but shortcuts and scams will always be exposed!!!!

IT SEEMS LIKE YOU ARE THE TYPE WHO LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THINGS!:kicking:

Well, you are wrong about this because I got paid thanks to Roberto and The General!

Superstar-A new administration was elected in September that said the players should be paid. Roberto just had a meeting with the new gaming commissioner, sounded positive. But things are still moving slowly, i'm still waiting for just an email address to contact someone.

Roberto has done more for the PanAm situation than anyone

maybe it mattered, maybe it didn't, but at least he made (and continues to make) an effort at it

I posted this a few days ago and of course roberto never responded

<TABLE class=tborder cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=6 width="100%" align=center border=0><TBODY><TR vAlign=top><TD class=alt1>Well I see everyone else has finally come around. They finally see what
Roberto is all about. I dont mind him reporting the info as it is. It needs
to be reported. But what isnt reported is his underlying reasons for doing
so. Basically he has attacked everybook that has ex employee's from Royal.
This is funny. I now see he is partnered up with Peep. Thats really funny as
well. And he has Sting to let him draw off his traffic at Gambling911.com.
Dont you guys get it. He is using you people to build up his site. Because
basically he has nothing to offer. All you have to do to find out about him
is call any book and ask them. They will be happy to tell you they dont do
business with him. Thats why he spends his time with Marketing and Customer
service people. They just are being cordial and arent smart enough to give
him the boot. But ask any top guy. Like what happened at CRIS. And they have no idea who it is your even talking about. Do the same with the Shrinks name or Russ from Majorwager. And the books will go on and on about how good they are and how much they get from the sites they represent.

See people don't understand what goes on behind the scenes. But I think they are figuring it out right Shrink? I even see the General has seen the light calling him out. Its tough to get the General after you. So it looks like his run is almost over. Very few bridges left to burn. Hopefully this will all be over soon and he can go back to where he came from. And leave the real gambling to those who are actually in the business.

Sorry Roberto, But your reign of attacking people is almost over. You tried to straddle the fence too many times. Gotta go in a direction and stick with it. Take this advice and use it in your next employment that you try and hustle people in.

chips, Frankie et al,

First of all my apologies for chiming in so late in this thread. It is obviously a good thread that provides lots of food for thoughts in many ways.

I will then try to give my contribution by assessing my point of view to the points that have been previously highlighted.

PlayASAP - it is a fact that the nearly failed book has been generously bailed out by betCRIS. Kudos to them in this respect. What if the Costa Rica based giant wouldn't have stepped to the table ? As a matter of fact when I raised the first warnings on this situation no bailout was at sight, hence I deemed that informing players of a financially distressed situation was the correct thing to do.

I believe that the near failure of this book, as well as Betpanam's disaster has nothing to do with the fact that former employees of mine I had released in my capacity of Managing Director of Royal where involved, nor I can take any liability for their decisions after leaving Royal.

As a matter of fact, and unlike posted on the forums, I have recently ( three weeks ago ) been in touch with playASAP cs manager in the effort to help him solve the controversy he has with the former owner of Royal. Omar has reached me via phone and I have informed the lawyer who is following the liquidation process of that company of his availability to reach an amicable settlement.Fact.
I would like, at this time, to bring the attention to a more important issue. My focus was, is, and shall remain on the players and safety of their funds.

As headman at Royal first and site owner today my goal has been and remains to help players whose balances are in danger to get paid, sometimes with success, sometimes without.

Betpanam represents the most complex and challenging case of all. Thankfully the new panamanian administration is seemingly willing to help in this mess, as they realize the damage and distrust that this failure has generated within the Industry. While, at the end of August, I was in Panama busy setting the grounds for a judicial battle and filing a complaint with the Attorney General, cybergaming shareholders were saying I would have been arrested if in Panama after September 1st. I guess they were wrong, since I have just visited the Country, upon invitation of the new Director of the Gaming Commission. Things change overtime.....

Frankie raises another interesting subject : chosing sides. This is how I see it :

when busy providing relief through bailouts to many players I have never picked a side. I coordinated the E-Winner bailout ( 6 players ) with Ken, the Saturn bailout ( 3 players ) with Carl ( Peep ), a substantial portion of the Blue Marlin bailout with Patrick McIrish ( on behalf of TheRX back then ) and Russ ( Major Wager ). This not to mention the Gamblers Avenue bailout, with over 400 players who had signed up through a number of different web sites.
Picking side means leaving someone in need behind for a cocky reason IMO. I have not done it in the past, I will not do it in the future, since I believe that any honest player and operator alike deserves respect in spite of his beliefs, color, race or whatever criteria one may wishes to apply. What matters to me is that I have been able to assist over 500 players and gave a contribution to their efforts not to loose their hard earned money.

I would like to mention another example. The Prescription has not become the leader of all online gaming forums by picking sides, but through constant focus and improvements to its content, by hiring valuable moderators and so on.

Online forums and watchdogs are part of something that is called Service Industry. Players have all the rights in this world to be able to surf through different sites, do their own investigations and then choose sportbooks they want to deal with. The attempt to alienate this birth given right ends up damaging whoever tries to implement it IMO.

Lastly I would like to add a line or two on the repeatedly mentioned CRIS case. Bottomline is that CRIS officially announced its assumption of all existing playASAP liabilities on 11/11, a week later the first unofficial announcement. I believe that the people I talk to within the Industry respect the fact that I don't "throw" their names out for a mere desire of having a scoop nor make a mockery of their management for issues that are in fact irrelevant to the matter of discussion.

I take this opportunity to thank all the ones who have expressed opinions, criticisms and support alike, and welcome any additional positive or negative comments, as they all represent a vital imput to correct focus and provide a better and more qualified service to players and operators alike.

I am from Curacao. Not sure if there is anyone down here that is more hated than Roberto. Does'nt really matter who you talk to. Roberto ran Royal into near bankrupcy. He gave away more free money that was not his than Santa. Royal is just finally out of the mess that he left them in. I dont know much about the other situations to comment but if they are like what he did here it is all fake. Roberto pretends he is good at things. He writes his pretends very well.

Actually Thank You TOW for taking a few days to respond. Its been kinda nice not having to listen to the BS for a few days. Lets start with PLAYASAP. First you come in and report slow pays. At that time you were battling a former employee. Which should have been disclosed by you at the time. Instead nothing is mentioned and you move to strike. You want my respect. Then come clean with the motives. The other forums reported on ASAP also. But not as much as you. If you want to post about ASAP fine do so. Its your job but before you do lets see the disclaimer. I am currently involved in a lawsuit against me by a former Royal employee that now works at ASAP. Then you need to report. Then the story has some merit. Instead you come on here and report to the forums. Which is funny because only a handful are actually involved in this industry anyway and know whats actually going on. Dont use your agenda's.

Another thing, Enough with the ass kissing. If you are gonna do this do it on your own. Dont use others to build your site. Shrink,Major,Sting and all the others you are using to build your site. They see through it now I am sure. All great guys I am sure. But man the praise you give them is funny. Kindly remove your lips from their asses please. Now lets get to your biggest claim to fame. Betpanam. How many people have actully been paid? What is the figure?

Can you promise us one thing please? After the next date that you give for something to happen has come and gone will you drop it please? You have a hard time letting go. You are still after old employee's from 2 years ago. Ask anybody in the industry about Betpanam and it was over 9 months ago. You seem to be the only one who cant let go of it. And why is that? Because you are using it for marketing and advertising your site. I have to see you on all the sites posting. Its funny. I dont see Major posting here. I dont see Shrink posting on Majors. I see from time to time. But not a everyday thing. You know why. Because they have something to offer. They do the work. They dont piggyback off of others. They have built the sites with hard work.

So thanks for the post. They are actually painful to read . I can never get through them myself. But start doing this the honorable way. Come clean when its needed. Thats the only way you can get respect in this business.

Sorry for the fast response. Hope yours doesnt take three days to form like your last one.:kicking:

Frank you would not possibly understand how many people who are sitting in our office right now laughing out loud at your message. You hit the dart board in the middle. Roberto is all about himself. People that paid him got stolen from because of his ego.

Sorry Red just so you understand Roberto is the only one pretending to help you get your money. How much has actually been paid? One guy that I can remember was paid a few bucks. Once again after his next date for something to happen has come and gone will you just let it go? Like I said People who know in the industry have. I suggest for peace of mind you do to.
